Hurst Aquatics brings together Chisholm and Central Aquatics Centers as a connected aquatics system for the City of Hurst. From first swim lessons and family evenings at the pool to senior walking time and community events, our goal is to keep safe, well-run water experiences close to home for every household.
The Hurst Aquatics Story
From early aquatics leadership to today’s modern neighborhood pools
Hurst has a long history of investing in public aquatics, including one of North Texas’s earliest municipal aquatic centers. Over the decades, residents have watched those original facilities evolve into today’s modern parks, with major renovations completed in 2014 and 2017 to update amenities, improve accessibility, and better serve growing neighborhoods. Current improvements focus on refreshed operations, concessions, programming, and communications so the next generation of Hurst families can continue to build summer traditions at the pool.

Hurst Aquatics is operated by the City of Hurst in partnership with The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) and as part of the SF Network. The city provides ownership, vision, and community leadership, while The Sports Facilities Companies bring specialized experience in daily operations, staffing support, and guest service. Together, this model is designed to protect long-term sustainability, maintain strong community access, and continually improve the on-deck experience for residents.

Local leadership and trained staff you can trust
Zachary Tekavec serves as General Manager for both Hurst Aquatics venues. With 16 years of experience in the aquatics industry, he has led programs for the City of McKinney, The Woodlands Township, and the City of Hurst, building high-performing lifeguard teams and award-winning operations. Zach is passionate about creating safe, memorable experiences for families and is focused on developing staff, expanding programs, and elevating every guest’s visit.
