Aquatics Center FAQ
Do children need adult supervision?
Yes. All children 14 and under must be supervised by an adult age 16 or older.
Are there special rules for young children?
Yes. Children age 5 and under must be within arm’s reach of an adult at all times. Both the parent and child will receive a yellow wristband at entry.
Is there a height requirement for water slides?
Yes. Guests must be 40 inches or taller to ride all water slides at both Central and Chisholm Aquatics Centers.
Can I leave and come back the same day?
Yes. Day pass guests may re-enter the facility on the same day with a valid stamp from Guest Services or proof of admission
What happens if a child is unsure about using the diving boards or water slides?
Staff will conduct a swim test if a child is uncertain about going off the diving boards or water slides.
Are outside float toys or rafts allowed?
No. Outside inflatable float toys and rafts are prohibited.
What flotation devices are allowed?
Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices are allowed. A limited number of approved life jackets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
What should I wear in the water?
Appropriate swim attire is required. Street clothes, denim, and other non-swim attire are not permitted in the water.
Are swim diapers required?
Yes. Infants must wear swim diapers. Swim diapers are also available for purchase.
What happens during bad weather?
Hurst Aquatics uses an onsite lightning detection system to monitor weather in real time. If the system alerts, lightning is seen, or thunder is heard, the pool areas will be cleared for 30 minutes. Guests can follow the Earth Networks lightning detection system at swimhurst.com for updates.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking and tobacco products are not permitted.
Are towels provided?
No. Towels are not provided.
Are alcohol or glass containers allowed?
No. Alcohol and glass are not permitted.
Can I bring outside food and drinks?
Limited personal food and drink items are permitted, but excessive outside food and beverage is prohibited. Items such as whole pizzas, catering trays, cases of drinks, and large coolers are not allowed.
Can I bring a cooler?
Yes, but only personal coolers are allowed, with a maximum size of 24″ L x 16″ W x 16″ H.
Is food available for purchase?
Yes. Concessions are available during all operational hours.
Are lockers available?
Yes. Lockers are available for daily use for a rental fee.
Can I rent a pavilion or cabana?
Yes. Pavilions and cabanas are available for rent for parties and groups. A reservation is required.
Can I bring outside decorations or party food for an event?
No. Outside birthday party/event food setups or decorations are not permitted unless approved by the management team.
How long is a day pass valid?
Day pass purchases are valid for that day only.
Is admission free for infants?
Yes. Daily admission is complimentary for infants 12 months old or younger.
Are refunds given for weather delays?
No. Temporary weather delays do not qualify for refunds. Facility-wide closures due to weather or operational emergencies are handled at management’s discretion.
Who should I contact about lost and found items?
Please direct lost and found inquiries to Guest Services or facility management.
Is Hurst Aquatics responsible for lost or damaged property?
No. Hurst Aquatics is not responsible for theft, damage, or property loss.
